In case of consumer dispute, as defined by law n. 144/2015, of September 8th, the consumer may appeal to the entity responsible for alternative dispute resolution.

With no prejudice to what is defined by legislation, statutes and regulations to which the entities responsible for alternative dispute resolution are bound, it is considered eligible to settle the consumer dispute the entity for alternative dispute resolution of the place of celebration of the contract of purchase and sale, or the place that provides the service, or in alternative, the specialized entity for alternative dispute resolution, if one exists for the sector in question.

If there is no eligible entity for alternative dispute resolution in the place of the celebration of the contract, or the existing entities don’t find themselves eligible due to its value, the consumer may appeal to the National Centre for Information and Arbitration of Consumer Disputes, in Lisbon (e-mail: cniacc@unl.pt; website: www.arbitragemdeconsumo.org.)

In cases of consumer dispute, according to the EU Regulation n. 524/2013 – that gives you the right to try to solve any extrajudicial settlement through the dispute online resolution electronic platform online – the consumer may still appeal to the European Platform for Online Dispute Resolution, available in http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or to the following entities of alternative consumer dispute resolution:
