Tuna Muxama Salted Dried Tuna (Campos Santos)
100% natural (smoked and salted tuna) made with the same recipe that Phoenicians and Romans used 2000,000 years ago. The tuna loins are passed through coarse sea salt, and then washed to remove excess salt, they are dried in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity. The Moors called this process “muxama”, a designation that comes from the Arabic “musama”, which means dry. Culinary application: as an appetizer cut into cubes or thin slices, accompanied by roasted almonds. In salad with tomato or fresh cheese. Suggestion: open 30 minutes before consuming.
