One of the most prestigious farms in the Douro is Quinta do Vallado, a farm that belonged to D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, Ferreirinha, and which is still in the hands of her descendants today. Vallado wines have been unjustly forgotten and have now naturally made up for lost time. These wines are of great importance in the history of the Douro and deserve to be at the top. Built in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is outlined with one of the oldest in the Douro. It is located right next to Régua, on the banks of the Corgo River. The destinations of this emblematic Quinta are in the hands of João Alves Ribeiro and Francisco Ferreira, both descendants of Ferreirinha, and responsible for the management of the company and oenology, respectively.
