91 pts Robert Parker – With a fantastic red and brick color in the frame, it has an excellent nose of red fruits and dark chocolate. It is a mixture of fantastic years, with 2010 contributing to great elegance and depth and the warm years of 2009 and 2011, to provide a complete and grainy character on the palate. Vinification: This Crusted therefore originates from the 2010 wines of Vinha da Pisca and the wines from 2009 and 2011 from small plots in Soutelo and Vale do Pinhão. The grapes were trodden in round mills in Vale de Mendiz and the wine aged in vats in our wineries in Vila Nova de Gaia. Production was small, with a total of 7000 liters, bottled in December 2012.
