Edible Gold Salt Flower Aqua Flaviae

Salt has been considered a divine element since antiquity. In the Holy Scriptures there are more than 30 references to this element. For the Romans, salt had such importance that a gram of salt of earth was exchanged for a gram of gold. For this reason, it was for many years dubbed “white gold”. Gold, in turn, has been used since antiquity in food products and by alchemists in medicines, and it is believed to have therapeutical properties. In this product the best salt flower of the Algarve was added. This is considered “salt caviar”, with the purest edible gold of 23.5kt, thus creating a product worthy of the gods (some would argue).
