Filipa Pato Missão Red 2017

Mission is a small centenary vineyard of 0.57 hectares with pre-phylloxeric vine with more than 100 years. Cultivation and harvesting are entirely manual and the sorting of the grapes is done in the vineyard itself. A portion of the grapes are destemmed and the percentage of the whole grape depends on the conditions of each harvest. Fermentation takes place slowly for about 3 weeks, with indigenous yeasts, the extraction is smooth and long. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine flows by gravity and the masses are pressed. The production only fills a traditional 500 liter kite, where it stays for 18 months. It is a wine with long aging potential.
